Coventry: Investing in the SuperConnected City 2015

Coventry: Investing in the SuperConnected City 2015

23 April 2015

Our very own head of city sales John Pulley is joining the top panel at the Coventry SuperConnected City breakfast on the 29th April at Friars House. He'll be joining Virgin Trains’ customer experience manager Anne Grant and Peter Holt, director of property consultancy D&P Holt, Coventry City Council chief executive Martin Reeves and Coventry & Warwickshire First chairman Martin Gibbs who'll be discussing the prospects and challenges for Coventry as it continues to attract investment. Coventry is one of Britain’s best-connected cities – physically and digitally – and increasingly one of its most investable centres. Almost a £1bn of inward investment has been announced over the past few weeks. Its superb links to the rail, road and air transport network, and big investments in broadband, have helped turn this city into a go-to centre for businesses, developers and skilled workers. Insider’s breakfast will look at the prospects and challenges for Coventry as it attracts professional and skilled manufacturing skills and investment. Bringing together a panel of experts from business, communications and government, the event will look at how the city is gearing up to take advantage of some big opportunities. How will investments such as those in superfast broadband, Friargate and the recent stream of manufacturing and big-ticket research and development projects improve Coventry’s position as a place to relocate and develop? Among the confirmed speakers are:
  • Martin Gibbs, chairman, Coventry & Warwickshire First
  • Anne Grant, customer experience manager, Virgin Trains
  • Martin Reeves, chief executive, Coventry City Council
  • John Pulley, head of city sales, Coventry CORE
  • Peter Holt, director of property consultancy, D&P Holt
