Diversity & Inclusion

Not every company makes you feel welcome from day one

We're bringing people together

The CityFibre family is made up of people from all different backgrounds, cultures and experiences. It's this diversity that make us stronger, helps us think differently and stay innovative. We're proud to be building a business that reflects the communities we serve, where people can be themselves, speak up about what matters and share their ideas freely.

For the second year in a row, we've been named a Times Top 50 Employer for Women!

Thanks to our family-first policies and commitment to gender equality.

Our networks

Our Gender, LGBT, Disability and Carers and Cultural Inclusion groups bring people from across CityFibre together to champion inclusion, remove barriers, suggest best practice and influence positive change. Recently, our LGBT network has helped us achieve the Stonewall accreditation.

Having a diverse group of employees brings diversity of thought, new ideas and a great working environment where people want to be. To me, that is a great outcome for us to aim for.

Championing diversity at CityFibre

Not every company makes you feel welcome from day one.

Adapting to lockdown

We made sure everyone was equipped to work from home and removed core hours so our people could work at a time that suited them.

Supporting mental health

We have over 40 Mental Health First Aiders who are trained to support employees around mental health, anxiety and wellbeing at work.

Putting families first

We offer enhanced maternity leave at 26 weeks’ full pay, shared parental leave and offer flexibility to give working parents more time for what matters most.

Welcoming veterans

We’re proud to have a number of veterans in the CityFibre family, plus an active and growing Armed Forces Network Group.

"We’re Changing It Up in our team because we’re hiring based on people’s personality, as well as their skills. This means we’re a diverse team of different genders, ages and backgrounds, including someone who took a year out to care for their family. We hire people for who they are, looking at what someone can offer, rather than what's missing."

Emma Stockton

Project Manager

"As a woman in Telecoms, it’s really unusual to feel so empowered. CityFibre is doing great things to promote gender equality and our Gender Network is making incredible progress."

Natalia Timchenko

Pre-contracts Manager

"CityFibre is a company that really does stand by what they say. We talk about inclusion because it matters, throughout our organisation we all work together to ensure we are inclusive, we treat people as equals. We’re a company that recognises and rewards performance based on achivements, not because of an individual’s sex, colour, or religion."
