How We Hire

Your Recruitment Journey

Your experience matters. That’s why our process is structured, fair, and open from start to finish. No hidden steps. No surprises. You’ll always know what’s expected of you, where you are in the process and what’s coming next.

Your time to shine

Our interviews are designed to uncover what motivates you, what you’re great at and how you think. We’re not here to catch you out.

We use a structured interview approach to help us stay fair, consistent and considered in how we assess your skills, experience and fit for the role.

Want to know more?

  • We keep our job adverts to the point, giving you a genuine feel for the role without long lists of ‘essential’ skills.

If you're excited about a role and you think you can make an impact, we’d love to hear from you - even if you don’t tick every box. And where something specific is genuinely needed, we’ll always make that clear upfront.

  • However you find one of our roles, you’ll complete a short application (including your CV) through our recruitment system, SmartRecruiters. You can also tell us about any disabilities or adjustments you need, and we’ll do our best to support you throughout the process.

Once you’ve applied, you’ll get a confirmation email with a link to your SmartRecruiters portal, where you can track your progress, update your details, withdraw or delete your application.

  • Once you’ve applied, someone in our Resourcing Team will review your application to understand how your skills and experience align with the role.

If we’d like to explore things further, we’ll invite you to a first-stage interview, usually by email.

  • Your first conversation will be with someone from our Resourcing team. It’s a chance to share your story, ask questions, and get a clearer picture of the role. We’ll cover the practical stuff like location, availability, flexible working and salary expectations, as well as exploring your experience through some role-specific questions.

These interviews are held virtually using Microsoft Teams.

  • If we feel you’ve got the right experience after your first interview, we’ll invite to you meet the hiring team. In this stage, you can expect a deeper dive into your skills and experience, more role specific questions, and some competency-based questions that are relevant to the role.

We might ask you to complete a short task or presentation too. You’ll get a clear brief beforehand and plenty of time to prepare! For our more technical roles, there may also be a technical test as part of the process.

These interviews are usually held virtually using Microsoft Teams, although occasionally they may take place in person at one of our offices.

Unless you’ve applied for a senior leadership role, this is usually the last step in the interview process!

  • For senior leadership roles, we take a closer look at how you lead. Before the interview, you’ll complete a personality assessment that helps us to understand your leadership style, your motivations, and how you work with others.

You’ll then meet virtually with a senior member of our HR team for a focused conversation exploring your approach to leadership.

  • If you’re successful at interview, our Resourcing team will give you a call with your verbal offer. Once you’ve accepted, you’ll receive your contract to review and e-sign, along with links to provide any details we need to get you onboarded.

Before your first day, we’ll send out all of your IT and equipment so everything’s ready for you to get started.

How we'll support you

Reasonable Adjustments

We’re committed to ensuring our recruitment process is inclusive and accessible, so everyone feels set up for success. To help us do this, we’ll ask as part of your application whether you need any reasonable adjustments. Your response won’t impact how we assess your suitability for the role. It simply helps our Resourcing Team understand how best to support you throughout your journey with us.

Keeping you in the loop

Whatever the outcome of your application or interview, you’ll always hear back from us. We’ll keep you updated at every step – no chasing, no wondering. We’ll also make sure you have everything you need ahead of any interviews, so you can feel confident and fully prepared.
