Simon Holden appointed Group Chief Operating Officer

CityFibre announces the appointment of Simon Holden to a newly created position of Group Chief Operating Officer, reporting directly to the chief executive, Greg Mesch. He will join the company and be appointed to the Board as an executive director as of 1 March 2019. Before joining CityFibre, Simon was a partner at Goldman Sachs where he spent 18 years in London and New York. There he held senior roles in the Investment Banking division including Global Chief Operating Officer and Vice-Chairman EMEA as well as a number of leadership roles in the Telecom, Media and Technology banking team including Head of EMEA, Global Co-COO and Global Head of Telecom. Prior to joining Goldman Sachs, Simon worked for Baring Brothers in London and Hong Kong. He is a fellow of the institute of chartered accountants, qualifying with Coopers and Lybrand. He is a graduate of Imperial College, London.
