Coventry and Warwickshire’s ‘fast-track’ message at the world’s largest commercial property show has been given an added injection of speed. The Coventry and Warwickshire MIPIM partnership is highlighting the region’s credentials to an international audience of investors and developers at the global property and development show and has taken a strong message around its ability to deliver a fast-track to planning, skills and development. Coventry CORE, the company bringing ultra-fast internet speeds to businesses in Coventry, has now joined the partnership to bolster the area’s image as a place to do business. Andrew Starnes, city development manager at CityFibre – the company behind the Coventry CORE, said: “We believe whole-heartedly in taking this message about Coventry and Warwickshire to a global audience and the fact that Coventry businesses are now benefitting from some the fastest internet connections available anywhere in the country is a very strong part of the region’s offer. “Digital connectivity is one of the most important factors for a region’s success in attracting and keeping major businesses. Coventry is now in the same league as the likes of Hong Kong and Stockholm when it comes to the speeds available to businesses and that’s a great message to take to the world’s developers and investors.” Martin Reeves, chief executive of Coventry City Council, said: “We need the world to know that there are development opportunities in our region and that developers and businesses will get the best support available when they come here. “MIPIM provides a great platform to highlight our proposition of a fast-track to planning, skills and development – and also communication speeds. “Coventry CORE is bringing a digital revolution to the city and putting us on the same stage as some of the world’s biggest cities when it comes to internet speeds. That can only make us a more attractive place to do business.” The Coventry and Warwickshire Partnership is made up of companies and organisations which fund the area’s presence at the four-day show which attracts around 25,000 leading property developers and investment professionals.
