CityFibre interviewed at the Comms Vision Convention

8 December 2016

Back in November, we sponsored the Comms Vision Convention for the first time. Hear what Rob Hamlin, our Commercial Director had to say in his video interview on the first day. For those unfamiliar, Comms Vision is an invitation only event for senior ICT leaders. It attracts well over 150 companies and runs across three days – offering plenty of opportunity for thought leadership and networking. As venues go, it’s right up there with the best. It’s hosted amid 5-star luxury at the Gleneagles Hotel near Perth in Scotland – home to the famous Gleneagles Golf Course and award winning luxury spa. You’re probably thinking: “Alright for some huh?!”. Normally we’d agree. But for sponsors, this event is non-stop, utterly exhausting and best in class for meeting industry leaders. For CityFibre it was perfect timing too. We’d recently launched a series of new Gigabit Cities and made another significant network acquisition (bringing our metro network tally to 40 cities) – so there was no shortage of things to talk about! Rob Hamlin, Commercial Director and Clayton Nash, Head of Products represented us there. Between them they sat on panels, hosted boardroom sessions and held over thirty individual meetings with those who were keen to chat to us. They ran out of allocated meeting time in fact – but that didn’t stop them! All in all it was a fine event, and great to meet so many interesting members of our fast moving industry. Definitely one to consider for 2017!
