Local specialist integrator will respond to success of ‘Gig Up’ Campaign
London, 10 March 2014 – CityFibre, which is investing in the Peterborough CORE, a city-wide, pure fibre-optic network in the city, has today announced a new partnership with Businesscoms, a Peterborough-based independent Service Provider with vast experience in delivering communications solutions to business customers. The partnership follows CityFibre’s successful ‘Gig Up’ launch campaign, which after just four weeks has generated registrations from over 200 local businesses interested in gaining access to the new fibre network. Businesscoms will work closely with CityFibre to provide businesses with symmetrical Gigabit services made possible by the pure fibre network. What this means to customers is that they can expect download and upload speeds of up to 1000 Megabits per second, enabling them to transfer large data files simultaneously with no delays. In addition, Businesscoms will be able to help over 500 of its customers take advantage of these unparalleled connection speeds, providing state of the art VOIP services and other solutions to reduce businesses’ overall costs and increase their productivity. Rob Baldacci of Businesscoms said: “We are truly excited by the potential of the Gigabit business services we will soon be launching over the Peterborough CORE. Not only will businesses now be able to transform their digital productivity with affordable Gigabit Connectivity, but the pure fibre connection into their business will also make possible a range of other cost-saving and efficiency-improving services such as smart VoIP solutions. Many of our existing customers have asked us when they would be able to connect and we are delighted that we will now be able to bring these services to our current and future customer base.” Greg Mesch, CEO at CityFibre, said: “Businesscoms is an established and experienced ISP with immense knowledge of the city of Peterborough. It is an ideal partner to evangelise, support and integrate fibre solutions over the Peterborough CORE. The success of the Gig Up campaign in the city demonstrates the considerable interest that organisations have in using fibre to help them build their businesses. It is vital that they should be able to work with a company like Businesscoms, which will understand their needs and help them to maximise full potential from Gigabit speed services.” ENDSCityFibre Media Contact:
