What is full fibre broadband?
Many broadband services still use a mix of fibre and older copper cables. While fibre may run to a street cabinet, the final connection to the property is often delivered over copper, which can affect performance and reliability.
CityFibre is different. We build and operate a full fibre network, with fibre optic cables running all the way to homes and businesses. This creates a more reliable connection, delivers consistently fast performance and is designed to support growing digital demands for years to come.
Our full fibre network is capable of supporting broadband speeds of up to 8.5Gbps through participating providers, making it suitable for everything from streaming and gaming to home working and connected devices.
Full fibre also uses less energy than traditional copper-based networks, helping to create a more efficient and future-ready broadband infrastructure.
