I'm moving home, how do I connect to CityFibre in my new home?

I'm moving home, how do I connect to CityFibre in my new home?

There are a few situations to consider when moving home and connecting to CityFibre.

1. I'm currently connected to CityFibre with a broadband provider, and the new home that I'm moving to has a Cityfibre connection with a broadband provider

If your new property is currently connected to the CityFibre network, a ‘working line takeover’ may be organised. However, this is dependent on the existing owners or tenants of the property you are moving into providing notice to cease their broadband service at that property through their broadband provider.

We would encourage you to contact your broadband provider directly, providing them with as much notice as possible of your home move. Your broadband provider will work with CityFibre to try and arrange the working line takeover or for an engineer to attend your new house after you have moved in and check the CityFibre equipment is working as it should.

2. I'm currently connected to CityFibre with a broadband provider, the new home that I'm moving to does not have a Cityfibre connection, but there is a connection point outside the house

We would encourage you to contact your current broadband provider directly, providing them with as much notice as possible of your home move.

As long as your current broadband provider can connect to the new property, they will contact Cityfibre to arrange for an installation to take place once you have moved into the new property.

3. My new home doesn’t currently have Broadband, but there are CityFibre boxes on the wall. How do I get connected?

To get your CityFibre full fibre network up and running, you first need to use our Availability Checker to find which broadband providers are available in your area; you can then decide which provider you would like and head to their website to start your purchase.
