Not every company values innovation like we do

Careers

Building smoother, slicker systems

Our tech team develops, improves and maintains the systems and applications that are key to delivering Britain’s digital infrastructure, whether it’s customer-facing APIs or back-end workflow systems. We’re always looking for agile people to innovate, automate and tackle complex tech challenges as we scale our business.

What our Tech team does at CityFibre

We're always looking for talented people to join our teams.

DevNetOps

Applying DevOps philosophies and principles to network operations, key projects include automated platform stand-ups, service provisioning templates, leveraging datasets from technology ecosystems and dynamic inventory management.

Solution Architecture

This relatively new team is tasked with defining our architectural strategy, building a roadmap that addresses current gaps and challenges, and getting involved right the way through larger projects and programmes, from RFP to implementation.

Software Engineering

Our Software team builds, tests and refines our internal systems, developing new features to add value to the colleagues, customers and partners who use them. This is a multidisciplinary function made up of Developers, QAs, Product Owners and Scrum Masters, all working across a wide range of technologies in a DevOps driven environment.

Technical Service

Our Technical Service team provides our customers with expert advice and support for all technical and network issues, monitoring the network management system and escalating more serious issues to our team of engineers.

"We’re looking for people who have come from a development background, and who are still actively involved in development projects. You should have extensive experience across multiple domains, and ideally some telecoms experience."

Kelly Charles

Recruitment Business Partner

"I’m changing up the user experience with my code, and at the same time, growing my knowledge of techstacks, methodologies, architectures and infrastructures. Everything I work on has a tangible impact."

Ian Dsouza

Software Engineer

"We’re always analysing our work to find ways to improve. Every fortnight, our development squads will perform a retrospective or work complete, and share the ideas they generate across the entire department. We also have micro-learning meetings, dojos and lunchtime learning sessions, where everyone has the chance to share ideas."
