Wolverhampton Homes, a social housing provider which manages homes on behalf of the City of Wolverhampton Council, has given the green light for CityFibre to bring next-generation digital infrastructure within reach of their portfolio of 22,000 homes.

Thanks to a blanket wayleave agreement with the Council, CityFibre will connect all properties managed by Wolverhampton Homes to the new full fibre network it’s building across the city. This agreement will ensure the rollout can progress smoothly, while making it possible for more than 22,700 Wolverhampton Homes customers to enjoy faster, more reliable full fibre-enabled broadband services.

Full fibre is recognised as the digital infrastructure of the future for both homes and businesses. Enabling near unlimited bandwidth, full fibre will ensure households can utilise the latest smart home technology, stream entertainment across multiple devices and make it easier to work from home, with virtually no buffering or lagging.

CityFibre is investing £50m in Wolverhampton’s full fibre network which continues to gather pace. The network is not yet live but once activated, services will be available from an increasing range of broadband providers. Across the UK, CityFibre is already working with launch Internet Services Provider (ISP) partner, Vodafone, Zen and TalkTalk to deliver next generation broadband services.
