BDUK Data Manager #
CityFibre provides wholesale connectivity to multiple business and consumer service providers, local authorities and mobile operators.

This hybrid role offers a great balance of home and office working. You’ll join your colleagues in your local office at least 2 days a week.

Joining us as a Data Manager
You will be an experienced Data Manager with previous experience managing a team of Analysts. Leading by example you will be hands on with a variety of business analytics activities, predominantly focussed on data reporting and quality, rollout strategy and optimisation across regions.
You will be pivotal to the effective production of short-, medium- and long-term plans – recommending areas of prioritisation and impact assessing strategic changes using geographic Information Systems QGIS, AcrGIS, ESRI,etc and analysis tools such as SQL, FME, Python.
You’ll receive salary of up to £65k, a performance related bonus, and a range of benefits to support you across your financial, physical and mental wellbeing.
This is some of what you can expect to be doing:
- Engage key stakeholders across the business to define the BDUK information that they require and define how this should be presented e.g. through existing tableau reporting suite, webmap etc.
- Respond to requests from senior stakeholders that require interrogation of BDUK datasets – identifying which are one off and which should be set up as ongoing reporting.
- Develop and maintain processes for validating data integrity driving quality improvement and fixing inconsistencies.
What you’ll bring to the role
As an experienced Data Manager You’ll also have:
- Experience working with geographic Information Systems QGIS, AcrGIS, ESRI,etc and analysis tools (SQL, FME, Python etc)
- Manage a team of analysts and prioritise work across the different BDUK regions
- Define the key design KPIs that should be tracked through the design process from HLD through LLD and build and produce a monthly BDUK design report.
- Support senior management to develop and provide regular reports supporting short- and long-range strategy for network deployment. Provide analytical results presented in insightful and interesting ways to help the audience understand the concepts presented.
