Joining us as a Head of Safety, Health and Environment (SHE)
We are looking for a dynamic and strategic Head of Health, Safety, and Environment (SHE) to join our Senior Leadership Team. Someone who can create and lead the SHE strategy, cultivate a safety-first culture for everyone and empower all to take responsibility for health and safety, both personally and collectively.

This is some of what you can expect to be doing:
- Leading a team of SHE professionals and integrated business teams.
- Combining hands-on management with strategic development and implementation of SHE initiatives.
- Setting and adapting the SHE strategy to reflect organisational changes, transformation, and M&A activity.
- Positioning CityFibre as a leader in responsible practices, continuous improvement, and innovation.
- Focusing on compliance risks with plans to mitigate and exceed standards.
What you’ll bring to the role
Chartered IOSH status and/or NEBOSH Diploma or NVQ Level 5 Diploma level, you will bring a wealth of expertise in SHE practices and will also have:
- Extensive experience in leading Health & Safety cultural transformations in utility, construction, or telecoms businesses
- Proven senior leader with a strong track record of success
- Skilled in operating in complex environments with multiple stakeholders
- Experienced in building high-performing, inclusive teams and developing diverse talent
- High resilience, ability to manage ambiguity, and excellent communication skills
- Proven ability to engage in strategic discussions with business leaders to manage risk exposure
- Strong influencing skills, with experience working across departmental and functional boundaries in a matrix organisation
