Account Manager - 12 month FTC

Job Description

This is a field-based role covering accounts across Scotland and the North of the UK. There will be travel required.

How you’ll change it up

You’ll be joining our dynamic and driven sales team to maximise the volume of sales for our Business Connectivity Services for a selection of key accounts, as well as relentlessly pursuing ‘zero leakage’, ensuring that every business on the CityFibre network sold to by our partners, connect to the CityFibre network. Day to day, you can expect to be doing things like:

  • Engaging productively and professionally with a portfolio of accounts at all levels, managing the sales pipelines from initial request to qualification, approval, quotation, negotiation, and final decision
  • Creating and maintaining an account development plan for each of your accounts
  • Agreeing and achieving personal targets to at least the minimum sales target agreed in your sales incentive scheme, whilst working with the wider sales and pre-sales teams to achieve overall team targets
  • Promoting products and services by participating in marketing and sales initiatives, including campaigns, seminars, exhibitions, and customer workshops

What you’ll bring to the role

You’ll be an organised and proactive sales and account management professional with some telecoms channel and sales experience (Ethernet, FTTP, IP, VPN, VOIP, CoLocation), who is good at juggling a varied task load and can achieve or exceed sales targets, ensuring all revenue opportunities are recognised and accounts are retained. You'll also bring the following with you:

  • Excellent communication skills
  • The ability to form and develop relationships with both internal and external stakeholders
  • Some experience formulating / maintaining account development plans
