How you’ll change it up
You’ll be responsible for developing and delivering the CityFibre M&E technical portfolio including Fibre Exchange (FEx), Fibre Active Cabinet (FAC) and third-party datacentre and collocation spaces. There will be a focus on design, vendor management, financial modelling, facility management and project management. Day to day, this is what you can expect to be doing:
- Carrying out architecture design feasibility and cost studies
- Defining the M&E FEx and FAC lifecycle
- Working with the passive architecture team to optimise CityFibre assets
- Defining the strategy around the monitoring of our technical portfolio
- Managing key vendor relationships on a strategic basis, and running major procurement contracts
What you’ll bring to the role
You’ll have excellent Mechanical and Electrical datacentre design and operation experience, as well as strong business case and financial modelling experience. You’ll also need knowledge of the following technologies:
- AC Electrical Plant
- DC Electrical Plant
- UPS and back-up power
- Fire detection and suppression
- IT air conditioning
- Asset security, alarms and access control
